Stellen's Mommy, my friend Megan, says: "Stellen Andrew is our second baby who has been a surprise from the very beginning. Daddy and Mommy had planned on waiting a little while longer to start trying for our second child and just when we thought we might be ready to give it a go, we found out God had other plans and he was already growing inside of me. Everything about this pregnancy was normal, we had our ultra sound at 20 weeks and were told that they were 99.9% sure he was a GIRL…:) I went into labor 3 weeks early (at midnight once again), got to the hospital, and 8 hours later pushed 1 time, was told to wait for the doctor, pushed another time, and out pops our baby. The doctor (not our regular doctor who knew we were expecting a girl) put him on my belly. We proceeded to welcome “him” into the world by saying “Hello, Lily! Mommy and Daddy are so glad to finally meet you.” They whisked him away to clean him up and the doctor finally says “He’s perfect!” That’s when the confusion kicked in and it took another 2-3 days to fully wrap our minds around the fact that we now had a daughter and a son instead of the 2 girls that we were expecting…
Stellen is now 2 years old, having been born on Valentine’s Day (which was my grandpa’s birthday and if he would have still been alive he would have been 100 years old the year Stellen was born). He is energetic, stubborn, playful, loves to laugh, and is very much a boy. He gets into everything, getting bumps and bruises along the way. We wouldn’t trade our little boy for the world and cannot wait to see how he is as a big brother when our new baby (boy or girl? No clue. We decided to be surprised instead of being REALLY SURPRISED this time) is born in September!"

I am pleading that you pray with me for the Lord to end abortion. He loves the babies. He loves the mothers. He loves the fathers. He loves the doctors. He loves those who have already made the choice and are now living each day with the after-effects of that decision. He's waiting with open arms...run to Him!

I am sure Stellen will THANK someone some day for taking a photo of him with a giant blue bow bustle.
They sure do think of clever and cute ways to photograph babies these days!
