At the end of our day, we got to enjoy the free dolphin show!! It was awesome! We had such a great day and so much fun!!! If you haven't been to the Indianapolis Zoo yet, GO! I think our favorite part was Oceans...our next trip might need to be to an aquarium! Does anyone have any recommendations?One more thing about the zoo...we saw several animals being...umm...romantic. I thought that stuff went on in the spring!?!?

Hey Keri great pics. We just returned from a family vacation and went to the Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati zoo. The zoo was AWESOME. The Aquarium was neat but not so cheap it cost over $75 for us to get in thats 6 of us It wasn't worth paying that much but you might be able to find discounts or packages through hotels.I will be posting pics soon on my blog so be sure to check them out!!

I was HOT!!! Piper was fussing so I was carrying her and it was just plain hot outside. LOL! I should have been smart like Korie and wore a sun dress or skirt.
Fun pictures. My kids love the zoo and animal parks. When they saw some animals getting romantic they told me they were "wrestling". Yeah, right that is what they are doing! I guess they will find that one out later.
The "romance" in the sea lion area was going on when I was there in May.
It was the rhinos and the turtles yesterday!!
there's an AWESOME aquarium in chicago. not sure how far you are wanting to drive, but if i remember the name of it i'll let you know!
Shedd in Chicago is good. If you find their website they have some free days. That is good if your kiddos are not in school yet. They offer some exhibits at an extra fee but the regular admission is enough for one day.

The Newport Aquarium in Cinci is really neat. We bought a membership. It's only a 90 min. drive for us though. We loved the Cinci zoo as well.
We have the National Aquarium here near Baltimore :P. It's wonderful but like someone else mentioned it is EXPENSIVE. We go once a year or so it seems.
The National Zoo in DC is great and FREE. They also have Pandas, who rock.
Sometimes what you see as romantic behavior is not LOL. Animal's will look much the same when they are proving dominance, if you have ever had a bossy girl dog you know what I mean. I worked at a zoo and that was the thing the parent used to focus on (the kids, by the way, were fascinated by poo! WOOHOO)
I'm glad you guys had such a great day. Those walrus pictures were so fun :) It's neat to have an animal interact with your kids like that!
