I am part of a team of 10 people going on a Vision Trip to Uganda!! I am beyond excited about this trip and how God is going to CHANGE ME and my heart and my attitude. "What's a Vision Trip?" you ask. That's a good question! We will be traveling to the 3 different areas of Uganda where Forgotten Children International has partnerships with 3 pastors. These pastors care for orphans, among lots of other ministries. I will get to MEET the little girl we sponsor!! I will get to HUG HER and look in her gorgeous little face.
How can you help? First and foremost, pray. Pray for me, pray for my team, pray for my husband who will be left behind caring for our 3 children as well as the other families of the rest of my team. Pray that I will be the hands and feet of Jesus. Pray that I will be broken and see the world how He sees the world.
Of course there will be opportunities for you to support us financially as well. LOTS of money needs to be raised! So stay tuned for more information on that level, coming very soon. For now (and always), I am coveting your prayers.

I already have a story related to this trip (I'm copy/pasting it here from the Facebook page):
We leave in 4 months and already God is at work (not that that's a surprise). :)
I had to get my passport. I looked up the information online to find out exactly what I had to have and where to go to apply, etc. I choked when I saw it would cost me approximately $150.00. I won't bore anyone with gory details but I will just say that I did not have $150 sitting around waiting to be used on a passport. So I whispered a prayer and put my faith in God's provision.
Monday, July 26, I applied for my passport. That very same day, a friend handed me an envelope and said "Please don't make a big deal out of this." Inside the envelope was...you guessed it...$150.
That is a BIG DEAL!! :) Not only did God provide for the cost of my passport, He confirmed with me that He has ordained this trip. I can not WAIT to see what else He has in store!!!
I'm ready for a changed heart.

What a moment! Makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up doesn't it? The Spirit of the Lord just popped itself in your suitcase and the prayers of Blogland go with you. Be safe.
Of course your mum is proud of you! We are all proud of you vicariously. You're on my prayer list and I know you will take that sweet Spirit of willingness to be used of God with you as you prepare and make the journey. (Yeah to the Lord for providing your passport $$$.)
God bless you!
I am SO excited for you Keri! That is awesome. I hope to take a mission trip to Africa someday. You know my prayers will go with you.

So Exciting!!!!
Best of luck on your trip Keri. Your mom is so proud. We'll all be praying for you!
Keri,
I strongly believe that when God asks us to do something or go somewhere for Him, He will provide. He has proven that for us over and over on our multiple trips to Guatemala, Africa and Russia. He is good.
