Mackinley James. The second baby the Lord blessed our lives with, and the first one we experienced all the ups and downs of pregnancy and anticipation and preparation. Mack was a week overdue before labor pains finally began...and even then it took me a few hours to realize I was having contractions. After 22 hours of labor, I had a fever, Mack had a fever, my legs were so swollen they were hard (I didn't know this until months later when my Mom told me!), and Mack's heart rate dropped drastically low, the doctor (my doc was on vacation!) finally decided to do a cesarean delivery.
So, we had a scary beginning, but there were blessings all throughout it. For one, my entire family (all 3 siblings and my parents) as well as Jason's Mom and sister were all packed into my room during labor. It was so great...we were loud, laughing, Jason was snoring, I wouldn't trade that day and the way it went down for anything. Mack is generous, compassionate, wild, creative and did I mention compassionate? I have seen Jesus in that boy several times, and it melts this Mama's heart.

I am pleading that you pray with me that the Lord will end abortion. He loves the babies. He loves the mothers. He loves the fathers. He loves the doctors. He loves those who have already made the choice and are now living each day with the after-effects of that decision. He's waiting with open arms...run to Him!

And he STILL loves those remotes (and all e-gadgets) today!
That was ONE SCARY DAY you went through before they said those magic words, "C-Section" that I'd been waiting to hear since 11 AM.
So glad THAT is behind us and you AND Mack are safe and sound and blessing every day of our lives!
