You're 2 years old. Your Mommy & Daddy aren't married, don't live together, don't love each other, don't even like each other. You are with Mommy 95% of the time. Every Monday and every other Sunday you leave your comfortable surroundings and go with Daddy to your "other house". You have a fun time there and then go back to your "regular life". Why? Why do you have to go back and forth? Why doesn't Daddy like Mommy and why doesn't Mommy like Daddy? Why can't you live with both your brother and your sister? Sometimes you cry because you feel torn and you don't understand why you feel unsettled. Then you hear Mommy tell Daddy that you told her Daddy hits you. Why is Mommy saying that? Daddy doesn't hit you and you never said he does, at least you didn't mean to...is it your fault? So you cry some more and try to grasp with your young and tiny brain what in the world is going on.

Please pray for my stepdaughter and her situation. It can't be easy, it can't be fun, and my heart breaks for her.

Keri, bless your heart. It's a painful situation from all viewpoints, isn't it.
Just keep loving. The Bible promises us that "love covers over a multitude of sins." It doesn't mean it ignores or hides them - - - - it means it helps to heal them.
Keri, what a sweet blog! You are not going to believe this. You commented that she was happier after family left and I could not get that out of my mind. Torn between two worlds must be exactly how she feels. You know she enjoys being with Jason, you and Mackinley but each and every time must be a new adjustment for her. My heart aches for her, and you and Jason. Such a charming little
sweetheart. You guys "hang in there". You are doing the right thing by keeping the relationship with her so healthy.
"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4:8"
That is the verse I have as my headline on my Myspace!!!
Oh...and the song I have on my Myspace is "Next Thing You Know" by Matthew West. I kid you not...everytime I play the song for MJ, he DANCES!!!! It's SO CUTE!
tough situation.
will pray.
Ditto, what Mom said. All we can do is love her, God will handle all the other problems.
I will pray as always.

Keri, Your heartfelt response shows that you get how tough all this is for her. That too, will go a long way in allowing her to vent, be confused, and have someone she can talk with about it who loves her.
