1lb bulk pork sausage1 jar (26 oz) of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1/2c water
2 eggs, beaten
1 carton (24 oz) cottage cheese
1/3c grated Parmesan cheese
1 to 2T dried parsley flakes
1/2t each garlic powder, pepper, dried basil, & oregano
9 uncooked lasagna noodles
3c shredded mozzarella cheese
In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and water. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the eggs, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley and seasonings.
Spread 1/2c meat sauce into a greased 13"x9"x2" baking dish. Layer with three noodles and a third of the cheese mixture, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers twice.
Cover and bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Uncover; bake 10 minutes longer or until noodles are tender. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
This recipe and the next 2 are NOT diet or low calorie. They were just REALLY yummy and I wanted to share. =) They all came out of the "Taste of Home" magazine.
