Visiting Grandma Great & Peepaw

After church and naps we went to Marion to visit Grandma & Grandpa Great. Mackinley started calling Grandpa "Peepaw" and that's been his name ever since! Please keep my grandparents in your prayers. Grandma is barely holding on and Grandpa is amazing in his care for her. We don't have long with Grandma now.

Mackinley went over to his chair and said "I'm in time-out Momma". I asked him why he was in time-out and he said "I don't know...Piper".

Eating My Words

Piper was fussing and Jason was trying to make her happy. He put her up on his knee like this and I said "Oh yeah, like that's gonna work" and she immediately stopped fussing and was happy as a clam. So I will keep my mouth shut from now on! hehe

MORE mail!!

Mackinley got another card from Kamma & Papoo! This one plays the chicken dance, so I thought I would teach MJ how to do it...

...his favorite part was shaking his tail. LOL! Can you believe Jason has never heard of the Chicken Dance?!? Is that crazy or am I the crazy one who knows how to do it?

Walks on the Greenway

The kids and I walk the River Greenway on evenings when it's not raining and it isn't so muggy outside that you choke the minute you step out. We all enjoy getting out, breathing fresh air, and Momma enjoys getting rid of flab! hehehe

Forgotten Picture

This picture was taken the day of the cicadas and I forgot to post it! It's too funny not to share. MJ is such a big helper...he gives Piper her pacifier when she fusses (see how he holds it with his finger??).

Cicadas

We were outside today and Mackinley heard the Cicadas singing and asked "What's that sound?". So Jason took him to the tree and found a shell to show him. Mackinley was fascinated but not sure he wanted to touch it!

This was hilarious. Jason put it on Mackinley's shoulder and he stood there very still, not moving his head but you can see on his face that he liked it there.

Siblings

The top picture is Mackinley when he was about 2 months old. So he's a tad older than Piper is now, but look at the resemblance between these two!

They LOVE them!

Mackinley's card plays "The Cotton Eyed Joe" and at the very beginning, it says "YEE HAW!". In this picture, Mackinley is saying "YEE HAW!" **Later Edit** The card does not play "Cotton Eyed Joe", I'm an idiot. It plays that hamster dance song that used to be on the internet. This is kind of it...but that's not the whole song.

Both kids had to take their cards to bed with them. Jason went to the bathroom and he came out and said he heard "YEE HAW". LOL!!! Thanks, Mom & Dad, they're a big hit!! I have some videos of the kids dancing to the music but You Tube is down at the moment so hopefully tomorrow I can get those uploaded and posted!

Lunch Time

Kaeleigh and Mackinley love to have their lunch on trays in front of the TV (what kid doesn't?? hehe) Mackinley always scoots his tray to be right beside Kaeleigh so they're touching. She gets annoyed sometimes LOL! He loves his big sister SO MUCH.
