Accountability

So...I've been doing Weight Watchers Online since July. I lost 10 pounds and then the weight stopped coming off. No...it's not because I've hit a plateau. It's because I love to eat!!! I haven't been gaining so when I'm tempted to eat something I shouldn't, I give in easily thinking "if I start to GAIN then I'll go hard core again". Then I eat it and feel guilty. I'm not happy with what I see in the mirror and even though it's not getting worse, it's also not getting better and when I have to wear something other than my daily yoga pants and t-shirt, I get really upset with myself because I still can't wear my pre-pregnancy clothes. And I wasn't even where I want to be before I was pregnant!!! Ugh.

I've seen on other blogs lately that people are blogging their weight loss battles in hopes to keep themselves more accountable. That kind of makes sense. I mean, if the whole world (like the whole world reads my blog...ROFL! So this is for the 10 of you that happen to stumble by once a month) is keeping an eye on your waistline (or in my case, your thunder thighs!!!!) you might be more apt to actually stick to your weight loss plan.

Some people are posting pictures....ummm trust me on this one, you do NOT want to see pictures of me in anything other than what you already have. I'm also not going to post my weight, I'm too ashamed! So I'm thinking I will probably just post whether I gained, lost, or stayed the same and I might do something about my daily food intake...on a weekly basis. Something not too long and boring or no one will help me out!!!

Please keep me accountable!!!! My overall goal is to lose 22 pounds. I am allowed 33 points a day (while breastfeeding, that will change when I stop) and 34 "extra" points that I can use throughout each week. I'm asking you to please be brutally honest! I won't get mad or hurt...I NEED to lose this weight and I need YOU to help me!! If you see where I go off track...lecture me! Stay tuned for Sunday when I'll make my first installment (you're on pins and needles, I'm sure! haha)!

I feel for you, I have about 20 to lose as well (and stop before you say a single thing because though I have a nice flat tummy... well lets say I carry it under that area, you don't see pictures of me from the back for good reason). Worse thing for me is I have a few stresses coming up that have me putting off even trying! Good for you for doing your best, I am here for you and if you need someone to talk you down (WALK AWAY FROM THE CUPCAKE MISSY) I will be here for you.

That's my problem area, too! People say "you've lost so much weight" but that's because I only post pictures of my waist up...yeah I lost a BABY out of my stomach but that's it! LOL!! My thighs and back side have a lot to lose. Cupcakes aren't a weakness for me! It's pizza, cheese bread, chips and salsa, peanut M&M's, and second helpings of whatever we ate for supper. :)

GO, Keri, GO!!! You can sooooo do this! I want to lose a few pounds before my 27th birthday in March......cause then maybe I can start trying to get prego! Doesn't even make sense....."get skinny in order to get fat again!!!" haha Oh well! I am def not happy with how I am now. Trying to hit the gym a little more, because I TOO LOVE TO EAT!!! I'll be cheering you on! Love you!

Keri, I am all for you wanting to lose weight. You look gorgeous now but if you would feel prettier with less weight, by all means GO FOR IT. You will be much healthier & you probably will be giving your kids and husband, an extra 10 years of your life.

I need to lose 20 lbs and it is for sure, to add more years of enjoyable time with my family. I just feel better when I weigh less, so I'll be part of your cheering section too!!!! GO FOR IT KERI!!!!

I won't be much help - - - - I like to eat too much and I think you are beautiful just the way you are.

I do understand the FEELING of wanting to lose - - - I get that feeling from time to time, but then I go comfort myself with something yummy like potatoes.

Hey - - - Grammy wants to see Kelly's "Wedding" pictures. Could you copy and do a blog about them? I would - - - but am Facebook challenged.

Keri...I'm the one in the family all the gals loved to hate because I ate anything I wanted and didn't gain weight. Then I hit menopause and I'm 40 lbs overweight and am having a really hard time getting rid of any of it. A big part of it is willpower...I have none. 50 years of eating M&M peanuts without restraint is tough to beat!! heehee

Keetha,I don't even know what facebook is, Ha!!!! But you mentioned Kelly & wedding in the same sentence....now I GOTTA know. He said he wasn't going to get married until 2010!!!! Can't wait to hear from you.

Dumb me....Keetha, you were asking Keri to do the facebook. Whew...I can breathe now....I don't even know how to blog my pictures, let alone do facebook???? At least the pix are in the camera but now the memory card is full and can't take anymore....Ha!!!

Naw...Kelly's not married. Remember he's the one that would make us pay him if we wanted to drink one of his Dr. Pepper's. He would have planned MANY wedding showers BEFORE the wedding and we would have been invited to all 50 of them and would have been expected to bear gifts (and not myhrr (sp?) and incense) more like Yachts, cars, furniture,jacuzzi..etc. Ha!!!

Cousin Pam...did you go to the last musical at Monticello Opera House?? It sounded like a good one!! It think it was called "Nice People dancing to Country Music" or something like that.

We have a "drumming" this Friday nite here in Madison at "Janet Moses Antique Shop" and they are calling it "Rally in the Ally". Come on down if you can. It's 6 to 9 pm on Range Street. I will be wondering around and look for you.

Ah i love this post because i am right there with all of you. Five years ago i joined WW went to the meetings and I lost 30 pounds. Best thing i ever did for myself! But now all 30 of them have found me again!!! So go for this and I would love to be a email buddy with you and support each other. I tried this with friends and i would support them but never any support back this way. I have some good recipes too!

The Wii Fit is a BLAST!!! We got one about 6 weeks ago and even 1/2 a**ed doing it I dropped my BMI 0.5% and lost 2lbs. Of course what happens then? You guessed it PREGO! Oh well life happens right.

Sarah!! We want the Wii Fit really bad!!!! As soon as our budget allows and we can find one, we're getting one! Even the regular Wii is good, though. Especially the boxing! We should trade numbers and play together!

I lost weight then I decided to quit smoking and I gained it all back. It is kinda funny sometime I think is smoking better then being overweight?! We need to do what we did last time with eachother. That seemed effective for both of us!
