Grandma's Memorial Service

Thursday was Grandma's Memorial Service. The service was awesome and Grandma will be greatly missed. But I did feel like she was with us all day that day and I'm at peace knowing she's DANCING in Heaven with Jesus!!! Here are my beautiful children looking so grown up in their dressy duds! :)

During visitation, some fellowship (and snacks) went on in the Great Room.

10 Weeks!

How is it possible that my little peanut is 10 weeks old today?!?! To celebrate her "birthday", Piper decided she would sleep ALL NIGHT LONG (12:30a - 8:30a!) in her OWN bed!!! And that's not the last of her showing us her maturity...

Do you see what she's doing here?? I decided to get out her little gym today for the first time. I put her on her back so she could see the little animals at the top and she immediately began trying to ROLL OVER!! She got her bottom half completely rolled over and if it weren't for her arm being under her, she would have made it all the way to her tummy!! Then she fell asleep like that! LOL! Why is my baby growing up so fast?!?!

Mackinley kept trying to squeeze himself on Piper's pad with her so I made him his own "area" right beside her. Too cute!

My "Date" With Haley

Last week, Haley was visiting us and she was saying how she hadn't seen The Dark Knight because she didn't have anyone to go with her (by the way...if you haven't seen it yet...GO RIGHT NOW!! It's fabulous and is Heath Ledger's performance of his life. But don't take your kids...it's called "The DARK Knight" for a reason). Jason said "Babe, why don't you go with her Sunday and I'll watch the kids?". I'm spoiled, I know. I have the best husband ever! Anyway, so we went to see the movie. These pictures made us laugh really hard. We were hurrying because we didn't think to take pictures until the previews were over and the movie was just about to begin!

Some nice man took our picture! This was the first time Haley and I have ever been together without one or both of my children tagging along! That seemed crazy to us.

Ahhh yes...dinner at Applebee's. We were talking about the show How To Look Good Naked (on Lifetime...watch it if you haven't yet!) and I was trying to show Haley the difference between her body and mine! I'm sure you can tell which is me and which is Haley! hahahaha

Of course after talking about our bodies, we had to have dessert! Thank you, Haley, for having a date with me!! And thank you, Jason, for being amazing and volunteering me to go with her! I had such a great time just being a silly girl again instead of Mrs. Responsible Adult.

The Indianapolis Zoo

Monday we went to the Indianapolis Zoo. Korie came with us!! We started out with a picnic lunch.

Mackinley playing peek-a-boo from behind a tree.

Oceans

As usual, Piper is the rowdiest one in the bunch!! :)

The first part of the zoo we visited was Oceans. This is Mackinley getting his first glimpse at a zoo animal! He's laughing at the sea lions as they swam and dove.

Here we are checking out the fish and sharks!

Sharks

There's a pool of dog sharks and you can reach in and pet their backs. You should have heard the kids squeal when they touched them!

Sea Lions

The sea lions would swim right up by the glass, startling the munchkins into giggles!
