Soon Aunt Pam and Uncle Joe will be moving to Florida! :( Misti already lives in Florida but will be moving to Alaska soon! Next Thanksgiving may be our last with all of the Holloways. So we went to stay at thier house Thanksgiving night so we could have some time with them. I get sad when I think about not having them so close by and I haven't been taking advantage of it while they're here!!! Anyway, we watched some Charlie Brown. Mackinley LOVES Aunt Pam. Everytime we would go anywhere, he had to be sure Aunt Pam was coming, too!

Friday we had lunch at Yats (cheap and YUMMY food!!!) then we went to see Korie at her new house.

After that we headed back home to Bluffton!! Thank you, Holloways, for an awesome Thanksgiving break!! :)

Black Friday

I hate Black Friday shopping. I think it's insane. I know there are people who LOVE it and they really do get amazing deals. It's just not my thing. Camping out in a tent at Best Buy instead of Thanksgiving dinner with my family?? No thanks!!!

But this story makes me SICK. Literally. How do you TRAMPLE a man to DEATH trying to get into a store to buy THINGS!?!?! What item is more important than a man's life??? Seriously!!! You have a problem if you're running over a man to get to an ITEM in a store. And you have an even bigger problem if you don't even realize you're running (literally...RUNNING...with your FEET!) over a man! I don't understand it.

How does this man's family feel today????

In my opinion, every one of those people who stepped on him need to be charged with manslaughter. But I realize that's an impossible task for the police to try and figure out. Which comes back to us needing to be responsible for our own actions!! Come on, people!!!!

How To Look Good Naked

I've blogged before about the show, "How To Look Good Naked". In the show, Carson Kressley helps women see themselves as beautiful, no matter what their weight or body type.

One way he does this is by taking a picture of the woman in her underwear and displaying it somewhere VERY public. Like the side of a semi-trailer or a billboard over a busy expressway. Then he asks complete strangers to comment on the woman...what they like about her body, if she's sexy, etc. The whole point is for her to realize that she doesn't see herself the way the rest of the world sees her.

I think if we knew the actual number of women who feel gross, disgusting, nasty, FAT...we would be surprised. We have been tricked into believing that to be beautiful, we need to be a certain size and body type.

I am THE MOST guilty of this obsession. I call it obsession because that's what it is. I HATE what I see in the mirror. I would LOVE to go on the show and learn how to look past what I see on TV and in magazines. But let's be realistic...that's not going to happen.

So....here's my idea. Let's do our own "How To Look Good Naked"!!! If you're interested in hearing a totally nonbiased and non-commited opinion on your body (because let's face it, your husband, your best friend and your mom can tell you until they're blue in the face that you're beautiful but you don't believe them because they HAVE to say that stuff, right??), send me a picture of yourself in your underwear!

Ok...I've lost everyone at this point. For two reasons: #1: This post is WAY too long. #2: "This girl is INSANE, I am NOT putting myself in my underwear on the internet!"

If you're still here...PLEASE hang with me for a minute and keep reading!

Send me a picture of yourself in your underwear, and I will do this to it:

Don't want to do your underwear? Not a problem...do your swimsuit, or a tank top and shorts, or a sports bra and shorts. Just DON'T cover yourself up completely, that defeats the whole purpose here...we can "hide" a lot with our clothes and such.

I will post the pictures, one at a time, so the "world" (who am I kidding, I have like 10 readers LOL) can tell us what they see! No one will know it's you. Why don't I do it first?? Because if I did it first you WOULD know it was me and then I wouldn't believe anything you say because I would know that you know it's me! :) I promise you I WILL be doing it...but we need a few more to go along with mine first, to keep pure anonymity.

So come on, girls. Let's help each other know HOW TO LOOK GOOD NAKED!!!!

Another Sunday

Oh Christmas Tree

We put our Christmas Tree up Sunday. Yes, we realize that by 90% of America's standards, we're way too early. We don't care. :) We enjoy our tree and want it to be up long enough to REALLY enjoy it. Especially with Thanksgiving being so late this year, we weren't going to wait until after. AND we always take our Christmas card picture in front of the tree so it has to be up so we can take the picture!!

"The Polar Express"

After working on the tree, we watched "The Polar Express". What a great movie to kick off our Christmas season with!! Piper was more interested in the tree than the movie. :)

Nappers!

Jason put the movie "Santa Clause Is Comin' To Town" in for Mackinley and he fell asleep! So did Piper but she couldn't care less about movies! :) We were surprised because Mackinley NEVER falls asleep during movies! He must have been TIRED! Aren't they angels when they sleep??

Say It Ain't So!!!

She's NOT crawling...right?? Please tell me she's not crawling already!!! My LAST baby is scooting across the floor to get a toy. I'm proud of her and I'm sad and just want to snuggle her every minute of every day because soon she'll be getting married! Ok, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, I know. I LOVE every stage of development but it still makes me sad that my baby will soon be little miss independent. She started doing this little scoot/army-crawl move this afternoon and now she's unstoppable!

Mackinley LOVES to watch Jason box on the Wii. Then one day out of the blue, he did what you can see in the video at the top of this post. It was hilarious!!! The video doesn't do it justice...he knocks out cold on the floor, it's so funny. Then Jason got out his boxing gloves and MJ went to town!! :) Notice his footwork!! Float like a butterfly...
