New Year's Resolution??

I was looking at myself in the mirror tonight. I pulled up my shirt to look at my stomach and Mackinley said "Momma, you fat. You need to do your exercises."

From the mouths of babes and no one is more honest than a 3 year old child! So I suppose I need to buckle down and do my exercises. And maybe stop eating.

Or maybe he's repeating what he's heard you say.

You are not fat.

I have to agree with Keetha - I've never seen a picture of you where you look "fat".

However, if you can convince him to help motivate you to exercise - for better HEALTH, then that's a great idea! You could rent him out to others. :D

Thank you, ladies. But I AM overweight. It's my own fault. I LOVE to eat. I LOVE to cook. I LOVE food. I wish I could keep my love affair with food and stay at a normal weight. :(

i was going to leave the same comment as your mom. i have told you this before when you said mackinley said something similiar. mackinley doesn't know what "fat" is at 3 years old. he hears you say it. and you say it ALL THE TIME. i know this because i do too. and this is what the majority of our conversations are about LOL! you are not fat.

Keri - - - you are NOT fat. You weigh more than the image you have in your head of where you want to be - - - that isn't the same thing as being fat. You want I should post some pictures of FAT on here?????

Anyway - - - you get the "loves food gene" through me, and I do understand the battle of wanting to eat everything you love without gaining any ounces.

That just isn't realistic - - - but neither is it realistic to be the size of Twiggy. (google if you don't know who that is.) Realistic is somewhere inbetween what you see yourself as and Twiggy.

So - - - you have to find the "path" that is comfortable and works for you. This will involve good food, because you LOVE good food. You may change how much and how often you eat said good food, but to give it up completely would only make you miserable. It will also involve altering your self image to be more realistic. I look at the pictures on your blog and I see a beautiful lady.

I don't see fat.

Oh yah - - - and I see you in PERSON too, and I don't see fat - - - I see a beautiful lady.

Thank you, Mom.

I know I'm not FAT. But I AM overweight...and not just in my mind, I AM overweight. I weigh more than a person my height should weigh.

You're exactly right...I just have to cut back and I need to do my exercises, just like Mackinley said! :) I got sick with this cold/virus/whatever-it-is thing and so I am behind. Also it has increased my appetite! What the heck?!?!

hey, i will be busting my butt after it gets nice (and after June 2nd) because I have a trip in September to get in shape for. so you know I am always up for a walk or three a day :-) also, i have been having a love affair with food since i can remember and the only thing that ever helped me lose weight HEALTHILY was weight watchers. i know it seems costly, but it works and once you get to your goal weight and stay there, it's free as long as you do so!!! just thought that I would let you know my plan of action once the baby is born!

btw, not everyone is from Hollywood and has a personal trainer to whip them back into shape two weeks after giving birth. give your body a break, it has been through two babies! you are beautiful regardless of the extra pounds you think you have.
