So last night we were getting ready to watch "The Biggest Loser". I was so excited to eat my popcorn while I watched our show! So I go out in the kitchen and open a brand new box of 100 calorie popcorn packs. I popped my bag and I was "doctoring" it up (spray margarine and white cheddar flavored powder...TRY IT!). I tossed a piece in my mouth and it was sweet. I thought "What? that's weird..." Then it dawned on me.
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
I looked at the box I had just opened and sure enough. KETTLE KORN! Yuck!!
I know a lot of people love kettle corn. I am NOT one of those people. So when I realized that my delicious treat had been sabotaged...I was devastated (yeah...food is important to me...deal with it). Luckily I inherited the gene from my father that makes me one of those weird people that likes burnt popcorn. That helped me ignore the stupid sweet flavor.
NEVER AGAIN will this happen!!!! :)

Jewel - I couldn't agree more!!! Not that I didn't expect it, though, considering who he was up against.
You got the "don't like sweet foods that aren't supposed to be sweet" gene from me. I would have been bummed too.
Now, I WILL eat caramel corn or kettle corn when I WANT something sweet - - - but if I had my mouth all set for REAL popcorn I'd have been upset too.
I remember so well when I accidentally got that same kind...it went directly into trash...did not pass go...did not collect $200...just into trash. Is there ANYONE that really likes it???

I like it - in fact I actually like the 100 cal micro stuff better than the street fair variety. However, having said that, if I had my taste buds geared for doctored up regular popcorn, I would also have been bummed!

I'm with ya Keri. I can't stand kettle corn. Gotta pass on the burnt stuff too though. Sorry.
I hated Kettle Korn, until my Hubby said it was his favorite (a YEAR AFTER we got married).
We've been trying to save money, so we only pop one bag of popcorn at a time. It has grown on me, to the point where's it's no where close to my favorite popcorn - but I can at least enjoy it.
Either way - if I'm expecting one flavor and find another - UG! I feel for you! :D
