Tuesday Mack had his first dentist appointment, where he received his first puzzle that has more than 20 pieces. He came home, changed clothes, and immediately got to work...making sure to inform me to let Kamma know he got a puzzle "like hers".
He finished it yesterday (Thursday) morning! He did it all by himself...the only "help" we gave him was showing him how to sort his pieces by color and "edgy-ness".
Today is Mack's first day of Kindergarten. Here he is, checking out his first-ever packed lunch for school.
It's hard to believe this day has come. School! We are so proud of Mackinley...it is bittersweet as we watch him grow up and move on to independence.

Kamma must be popping with pride over a puzzling grandson! Did Miss Piper oversee the whole process?
Piper tried to have more involvement with the puzzle...but her brother did not desire her "help". :)
Mack says he had a great first day of school. His tidbits of information from his day: the kids who bought lunch got grapes, he wanted grapes but didn't want the rest of what they were eating. He got to have pink milk. His blanket for "nap time" is too small and is "a baby blanket". Gym was his favorite part of the day. He felt sad because he missed me (Yes...HE said that!).
Kamma IS proud of Puzzle Mack!!!
I'm gonna hafta start watching for the RIGHT puzzles to give him.
I've had "help" from Piper with my puzzles - - - Mack was probably real SMART to resist her advances.
