We have started the first of 3 big projects on our house. We are tearing the old carpet out of the living room, dining room, and hallway and replacing it with laminate, along with painting the walls new colors! Here are some pictures of our progress so far. We're almost done...but I don't want to post the done pictures until we're TOTALLY done...and we have a new front door coming in about 2 weeks so you'll have to be patient. =) Here's our living room before we started. Mackinley is helping. =)

Obviously, neither of us have done this before...so when that first board actually locked into place (FINALLY), it was a BIG moment!!! Haha

keri it looks awesome so far... i can't wait to see the finished product. but i have to tell you, that awesome 70's shag carpet was some the MOST comfy carpet ever. seriously!!!
Looks like you guys are experts at installing flooring now. Hmmmm, I have about 700sq feet that needs to go in my basement when I finish doing the drywall!!!!
Your safe though. I will just make Tim come over and help me. I am sure he owes me for some work I did for him in the past.

Haley - you're on crack, girl. That carpet was horrible!! You walked through that room and you looked like Pig Pen! LOL!
HAHAHA but it was so comfortable. i always loved coming home (when it was my second home) after a long day at the office and takin' off my flip-flops and feeling that super plush carpet! good times.

Very impressive. Can't wait to see the final pics. Keri, I'm glad you confirmed that Macky wasn't straining; it really looks like he's hauling something heavy. Such a manly-man.
