I'm an eBayholic. I literally have to make myself stay away from the site unless there is something we NEED and I want to find a good deal. Ok, so this isn't exactly a NEED...but...I "wanted" something for the top of our new entertainment center. The thing is huge and it's the focal point of the room and it just seemed so empty and boring. My plan is to get some pictures of us framed and placed around this room, I like to have pictures around where we hang out, it makes it feel more like home...and there will be some added to the top of the entertainment center. But I knew other than the pictures, I wanted something else. I didn't know what, but I knew I would know it when I saw it. So where to go? eBay, of course!!! WOOHOO an excuse to start some searching. Then I saw it. This Tiffany lamp. It was unlike any Tiffany lamp I've ever seen!!! I had to have it. Yes, I said "had to". So, I put it on watch because it still had several days to go for the auction to end. After spending those days just staring at this lamp that I "had to" have, the auction was finally starting to come to a close. In the last 10 minutes, I started bidding. Some dude thought he was going to take it from me...but HAHA no way, Jose. Fifteen seconds...oh it's mine....ten...that's right, baby, all mine...five...WHAT?? I've been outbid?? NO WAY!!! So I frantically click on "place higher bid" but alas, I have lost. I felt so deflated. My beautiful Tiffany lamp of which I've never seen another, GONE. I guess that's what I get for trash-talking Jose.
The next morning, I'm very pouty while browsing eBay. Then low and behold...ANOTHER lamp exactly like the one I lost to Jose!!!! WOOHOO!! Long story short, I actually WON this one!!! After another bidding war, of course, but I wasn't about to lose again! I was so thrilled. Never mind that every day since then, I've noticed that this particular store releases ONE of these lamps every so often so that you THINK it's the only one when actually they seem to have an endless supply. But I don't care! I love my new lamp and I think it's the perfect addition to our new living space...what do you think?!?!
As a side thought...why in the world can't I find something like this that people will fight over on eBay but yet I have an endless supply therefore creating an endless cash flow right into MY PayPal account???

Are you sure it is a lamp? Kind of looks like somebody's ashes belong in there! I could be wrong though. I am not known for my design ideas.
Mooooo from Wisconsin. :)
keri, i love the new lamp! it does look perfect up there. i can't wait to see the new room get all cozified with the new lamp and pictures!
It's beautiful, Keri. I've tried e-bay for a few things. We've been most successful at getting toys for John. The stuff I want gets too expensive too quickly.
I too think it is very pretty. Though I MUST confess, I did think it was an urn of some kind before I READ that it was a lamp. Then on CLOSER inspection of the photo I could see it is lit from within.
Wow!!! Gorgeous lamp Keri. I'm glad you got it..makes a perfect lite above your TV. Bet that's pretty at nite!!!
...great unique lamp...i like things that are not-so-ordinary...great purchase...can you take a photo of it in the dark while lit???
I love it. Looks like a larger version I saw at a PartyLite party a few years back. And that cost a fortune! My cats would love batting that around - once!
