Big Mama's Fashion Fiesta

medium button
My Mom is a big fan of Big Mama, who is doing a fun blog fashion show today. My Mom inspired me and I decided to play along.

So since I'm pregnant, it only seemed fitting to use my growth pictures! Here I am at 10 weeks, with a pudge that isn't baby...just too many trips to Taco Bell and not enough trips to the River Greenway for a power walk!! I'm looking lovely in my daily attire of a tank top and sweat pants. Heidi Klum, eat your heart out.
Hello 15 weeks! Ok I really don't live in tank tops, as you'll see farther down the line. I think I kept wearing them to show off the tummy growth. I am however wearing my FAVORITE brand of jeans...Silver!! These jeans are not maternity but I have been a staple of my wardrobe all the same. I don't know about anyone else, but it's really hard for me to find maternity jeans that are not "Mom Jeans" which leave you with pockets on your kidneys and a yard of fabric under your shirt giving the illusion that you have two pillows stuffed down your pants.

20 weeks and look! Those same Silver jeans are still getting me through!! At least I decided to add some color to my tank top wardrobe. Jeesh
24 weeks and this is what Ed McMahon would find ME wearing if he were to deliver a big check (I stole this from Big Mama, see her fashion show). The only difference is for some reason I have make up on and that is not a daily occurance. This girl loves her drawstring no pocket pants from Wal-Mart!!

28 weeks and floral! Hehe! I actually like this shirt, it came from Target, the Liz Lange maternity collection. That's right, I spend the big bucks and shop for clothes at Target. Sometimes if I really splurge, Old Navy gets my business! :)
30 weeks and this is actually today! Old Navy maternity top, the old stand by white tank top underneath, and my new favorite pants. They're capri's (this girl does NOT wear shorts, trust me, you're thankful for that) and they have the new Secret Fit Belly. This is an amazing invention, whoever the woman is who thought it up, I applaude and I thank you and you deserve all the money you will make selling them. These came from Motherhood Maternity and they are by far the most comfortable maternity jeans I have ever worn. The Secret Fit belly is guaranteed not to roll or bunch and it doesn't. It's AWESOME. If you're pregnant, go try on a pair and I bet you'll be going home with some. Oh and they don't have the pillow butt effect I mentioned earlier!!

I was also supposed to show what I would wear if I could wear anything at all. I'm twisting it a bit...if I could mimic anyone's pregnant radiance and beauty, it would be Catherine Zeta-Jones. Here she is accepting her Oscar for her performance in "Chicago" (my all time favorite movie and musical but that's off topic here). I remember seeing her live that night and she blew me away with how confident, graceful, and absolutely gorgeous she is. And the fact that she did that movie while pregnant is amazing in itself, I can't even find the energy to move the clothes from the washer to the dryer and she was out there doing splits, jumps, dancing for hours!! And she doesn't have lunch lady arms! So I want an outfit that makes me look like Catherine Zeta-Jones!

P.S. My husband and I LOVE "The Office", we would have thrown a party when it came back on last night if we weren't exhausted from having a one year old :)

Well aren't you just as cute as a button! SO, are you getting so sick of this cold weather? It makes me want to stomp my feet and throw a fit like a two year old!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

You are too cute. If I looked half that good pregnant... I'd have a dozen. Good luck to you in the coming weeks... I know you are so ready to hold that baby in your arms, rather than your belly. :)

For Pete's sake you are one cute pregnant girl. Cute for a non pregnant girl. Just cute.

And FWIW, would like something that makes me look like CZJ in that picture, and I'm NOT pregnant!

Great post. I like your idea to use all your belly shots. I was not as brave as you. I just took pictures of my maternity clothes. I love Target and Old Navy too. I guess, Motherhood gets a lot of my money also. Good luck with your pregnancy, I'm 31 weeks now and having a girl! We have a lot in common already. :-)

Keri, you are WAY cute girl! I think your outfits are great. I love the Target shirt.

I'll be checking in on you. I can't get enough of pregnancies and births (as you see from my blog). And I'll love watching you grow... *sniff, sniff*. and remembering when it *sniff* was me...*sniff, sniff*

Plus, our husbands are in similar professions and I agree with ya on almost all of your fav's. =0) Ahh, what can I say? Great minds must think alike. lol!

Oh, I read your comment and profile after I posted. I'm from Lakeland, FL. If I were a baseball fan I would have to say go Tigers! But I also would say go Braves and Yankees. I'm probably breaking some kind of baseball rule with all three of those teams, but I'm not a true fan so I don't know any better. :-)

We have even more in common than I thought (our excellent sense of "The Office" humor :) Our kids even enjoy the same shows! You wouldn't happen to know where I can find a stuffed Blue, from "Blue's Clues" would you? My 16 month old is addicted. (Blue is one of his 10 words he says :) Also, my firefighter Hubby added "Go Colts" (well, really any Manning... we are big Manning fans down here :) Have a great day !

Thanks for stopping by! You are absolutely adorable! If I were that adorable when pregnant, maybe Savannah wouldn't still be an only child!!

And I, too, call them "hooker boots"... or FMBs, which is even more inappropriate... depending on with whom I'm speaking, but I figured I'd keep the good ole blog PC.

By the way, we're watching the Tigers here in Toronto next weekend. :) Good luck with the new little bundle!!
