Did You Feel It?

We had an earthquake very early this morning...around 5:30 I think. I didn't feel it, I slept right through it. Jason woke up and thought it was thunder and went back to sleep. LOL!! My Mom is a Science teacher and she's giving her students extra credit today if they woke up and felt it. I guess I don't get extra credit!!

i felt it, which is odd because i normally sleep through stuff. i thought it was maybe a train, or thunder too but i could not hear rain. i even thought maybe when i had gotten up to go to the bathroom at like 2:30 that a cat got in my room and was on my bed scratching itself! i grabbed my cell phone and made it light up and shined it on my bed trying to see cat. i was so confused LOL!

so do i get extra credit???

I left a comment for your Mum, but I got a phone call early this morning from my Daddy. He and my stepmum live in mid-Ohio and felt it this morning.

He said the wierdest part was how loud the birds outside were. He also said that it felt kinda like a washing machine was off-center at his house.

It was their first earthquake experience ever!

I felt it! Do I get extra credit? I blamed Adam. Thought he had a leg cramp and was shaking it. I didn't know it was an earthquake till I saw it on the news!

Living in an area where earthquakes are expected when one hits is scary enough. I feel bad for all of you guys out there who felt such an unexpected one! That's not supposed to happen! It'd be like us getting a tornado or something...

If you all CARE and feel BADLY for me - - - - who got a bit frightened when it SEEMED like it was lasting too long which made me afraid it was just building up and getting BIGGER you may ALL have extra credit.

In all actuality, there is a large underground fault - - - called the Madras Fault (I believe) that runs right down through this area. BUT - - - none of us ever EXPECT an EQ because we RARELY get one.
