Blessings And Babysitters

Friday night our church had a "Ladies Night". I didn't really know what it was about because when I saw it was on a Friday night (Jason works Friday nights), and a Kaeleigh weekend to boot, I knew I would not be able to attend. But God had something else in mind! My friend Leslie let me know she signed me up. I opened my mouth to say I wouldn't be able to go and she said "I already got you a sitter. I signed you up. I will be picking up your sitter and coming to get you at 5:30. Oh and I'm paying for the sitter, too." How could I say no to that?? She even got one of the girls she knows I love and trust with my children.

I have to say, it was humbling. Humbling for me because it's so hard for me to accept pure no-strings-attached gifts out of the blue. It usually makes me feel guilty. But God has been stretching me lately. As soon as I started to feel the need to decline her offer, I heard God telling me "let her serve Me".

The night was amazing. We ate a meal and then we all went upstairs to the new Youth Center and used their sanctuary. We worshiped. We prayed. We worshiped and prayed some more and the Holy Spirit's presence was so evident. We heard testimonies from two amazing women. We lifted each other up, comforted, cried, laughed. God is SOOOO good!!!!

The next day I had ANOTHER surprise!! Allison left me some pictures of the night on my camera!
Crayons AND Play Doh AND the Barbie house AND a coloring book AND milk. Payback for all the times *I* took advantage of a babysitter while Mom was out of the house!!
This one is so sweet!!
This one cracks me up. It looks like Kaeleigh is saying "Whut up?"
