Monday evening we were getting the kids ready for bed. Jason was giving them a bath, I was tidying the house and finding clean jammies for them to wear. It was a really nice evening so we had all the windows and the front door open. As I was going about my business, I kept hearing this weird noise. Finally, I stepped outside to see what the heck was going on. I stood on my porch, waiting to hear it again. There it is!! What is that? It sounds like someone has their car radio turned all the way up on a station that is nothing but static. Wait a minute, Keri, you idiot. That sounds like a hot air balloon!! So then I jump into the front yard, looking frantically up in the sky. But we have several huge trees in our front yard and I couldn't see anything...but there's the sound again! That's definitely what it is! Finally, I saw a hint of bright orange through the tree top. I yelled in through the front door "Babe! Hurry and get the kids out of the tub and bring them outside! There's a hot air balloon!"
I ran inside to grab the camera and to urge Jason to "HURRY!!!" I ran back outside and noticed it was sinking quickly. Jason came sprinting outside with Piper bundled in her towel and MJ in his underwear. MJ just barely got to see the top of the balloon before it sank beneath the treeline on the horizon. All this excitement in our little neighborhood....that is not a sight you get to see every day! (I'm referring to the hot air balloon...I'm afraid seeing my 4 year old in his underwear probably happens far too often!)

Very cool!!! When I was in college we had a field close to the campus, between my house and the college. I used to walk to School, and they would land in the field. VERY cool to see all that bundling up of balloon.
Awesome!
I mean the hot air balloon - - - though the four year old in his underwear is an awesome little dude too!
Years ago they used to launch a hot air balloon right in your area me and dad used to go and watch them set it up and launch...It was on Scymore drive or something like that there was a grass circle in the middle of all the house I could drive you there but I can't think of the street...
