even the rocks

Picture me standing on the top of this mountain, hands held high over my head, face beaming, singing and yelling and screaming for joy at the top of my lungs...

...praising the Most High God, the Lord of our Universe, my King, my Rock, my Salvation, my Beloved.  He has completely blown me away over the past two days.  I have experienced joy before, even joy in the midst of storms, peace in the midst of darkness and confusion.  I've never in my 35 years experienced Him the way I have this week.

Why, you ask?!  Because of many reasons...but the main one I want to share is that He has answered my prayers.  And not just mine, my mother's, my father's, my grandfather's, my aunt's, my cousin's....the list goes on and on.  I believe God answers prayers continuously, a lot of times without any notice, and yet He still does it.

BUT THIS TIME...well, this time He revealed Himself to many members of my family in a way you could compare with biblical proportions.  A certain prayer of mine and my mother's came true...in such a literal and real sense I am still in shock and awe.  And the best part?!  Someone who we love very dearly, someone who is precious to us, priceless and adored...is back in the fold.  Or in his words "I wanna be in [God's] Army, fighting next to you.".

Sooo....no rocks have to cry out in praise (see Luke 19:37-40) on this block of the street, in this neighborhood, in this town!! Because we are literally jumping for joy in this house!  Thank you, Jesus, for your faithfulness, your love and mercy, your MIRACLES and your constant answer to prayer.

WE LOVE YOU

Love this post, and i definitely needed to hear this.
Recently I've been struggling a lot because of some stuff going on in my life, and I've felt like my prayers have gone unanswered. I know that's not true, and that I'm probably just not looking in the right place, or maybe He's answered my prayers, just not in a way that I've expected. I don't know.
But thanks for the reminder that not a single prayer goes unanswered. :)

Alyx,

Don't give up! This prayer was a long time in being answered!

Keri, I could never have said all this this well.
