5th Sunday, Cheese Monday

April had 5 Sundays, did you know that?
Anytime a month has 5 Sundays, we have dinner with Grandpa.
It's a tradition that began years ago when there were lots more of us in attendance.
Some have moved.
Grandma is HOME with Jesus.
But the dinners continue with whomever is able to attend.
And they're wonderful.

The children playing before dinner.
We had two "extras" with us this time, Lucas & Braxten came along.

I could not figure out why my pictures were so blurry.
Then I realized I had a big fat fingerprint on the lens of my camera!
I still had to keep this one, though...I love his little face.

I love Braxten's peeking eye! :)

After dinner? Tackle Korie!

Fifth Sunday Dinner is -
...tradition
...family
...heritage
...home
...homemade food
...laughs
...hugs
...loud boisterous talking
...Grandpa's red apron
...the chime of the dining room clock
...toys passed down through generations
...love

Our weekend got even BETTER (Mondays are still the "weekend" to us) Monday when the mailman delivered a package full of Wisconsin yummy-ness!

Love 5th Sundays. Mom, thank you so much for the CHEESE!! I love the mild brick cheddar!

Is it the way the outside light is hitting Gpa's head or has his hair gotten quite a bit whiter since Thanksgiving? He's quite the handsome Silver Fox! Thanks for sharing the pictures of 5th Sunday. So glad the tradition continues.

There's even a glimpse of you in the mirror behind Kyle's grimacing face! (Was he purposely making that face?)

I thought the SAME THING, Pam, about Peepaw's hair getting white.

Jason, it is always a pleasure to give things to folks that you KNOW they will love. That Brick cheese is da bomb, isn't it?

Kyle was just being silly. :) I'm not sure about Grandpa's hair...I didn't notice it in person so maybe it is just the light??
