Venting!!!

I need to vent!

Most of you know Jason and I play World of Warcraft. It's something we both enjoy and enjoy doing together. Because of this past time we have, we have always had Mediacom cable internet. I will start off saying that we NEVER had an issue with the service for the almost 4 years that I have lived here.

BUT...(you saw that coming) since March of this year, we have been having problems. The internet is slow, it comes and goes, it hiccups. It makes simply surfing the web irritating and don't even get me started on what it does to our gaming experience!! I have been very patient, I have been trying to stick it out because like I said, the service was perfect until March.

So tonight I decided to get on WoW and play a little. My friend Heather got frustrated with me I think because she was trying to talk to me and I couldn't even see what she was saying because it never came through to my screen. After 4 times of being kicked off, I got fed up and gave up. I decided to call Mediacom and see if they know of any light at the end of the tunnel.

I've called them before about this issue and it's like playing Russian Roulette. Sometimes the person I talk to knows exactly what I'm talking about and they are very understanding and apologetic. Other times, like tonight, the person has no clue what I'm talking about and they make me go through the useless motions of restarting my modem, restarting my computer, and eventually they schedule a technician to come to our house so he can tell me there's nothing they can do because there is a problem with the lines coming out of Decatur.

Tonight was the last straw. Now I will admit I am frustrated, and I told the guy I was. But I did NOT yell, I didn't get rude or pushy. But after 5 minutes of him arguing with me and basicly calling me stupid, I told him I would be looking in to our other options and promptly hung up.

SOOOO if anyone knows anything else we can do, that will give us the same performance as cable internet, PLEASE speak up!! I emailed our local DSL provider but the fact that the internet comes through a phone line makes me think it's going to be just like dial up and if that's the case, we might as well stick with our in and out cable. At least when it's working, it's fast and effective for our gaming.

I HATE how we have ONE choice in our area for cable internet and that's Mediacom. Why can't there be 2 or 3 companies here so they have to compete and in turn provide better service to their customers? They know they're my only option so they don't have to be polite on the phone, they can argue with me and tell me I'm stupid and if I choose to go elsewhere, it's my loss because I end up with a slow connection speed.

37 Weeks

Please ignore my hair...I'm still trying to figure out the best way to style my new cut! I had a doctor's appointment today and since then I've been feeling very icky. So I'm on the couch with my feet up (as much as possible with a 2-1/2 year old!) holding this baby inside!!!

This kid cracks me up. Again while Jason was taking my pictures, he was over in his high chair, lifting up his bib and holding out his tummy saying "I too, Daddy! I too! Baby!"

Our Little Peony Bush

For those of you who don't know, Jason bought our house and was living in it already when we met and started dating. The first summer we were together, I was at the house one day while he was mowing and working on yard stuff. I was walking around, trying to figure out what all the plants in the landscaping were. I noticed this dead spot on the border of the property and went to inspect it. There were tiny little shoots of something that was not grass in the middle of the dead spot. I asked him if he could maybe skip that spot of mowing for a week so we could see what was there. He said "it's just a weed!" but I talked him into waiting a week. Every week we kept checking the spot, he kept wanting to mow it down and I kept talking him in to waiting. Then it got a bud on it!! I was so excited! He still said it was weed. LOL! Finally the bud bloomed and I said it's a PEONY!!! He said "what the heck is a peony?? It should be called a puny". I told him it's our State flower and it looks puny because he'd been mowing it down!! So the Peony bush has been allowed to flourish over the years and this year we have THREE blooms and more buds to bloom yet!! And the flowers are beautiful!! When they first open up, they're a deep blood red. These pictures I took today and the flowers have been blooming for about a week.

I never knew I was a Peony fan until I saved this little bush from being hacked down every week!

Quick Trip to Coldwater

Mackinley and I were planning on going to Coldwater this evening to meet new little Blake. Jason surprised us and took the night off so he could go too!! I told Mackinley to be HAPPY and this is the face he made!

I said "Not sad!! HAPPY!" so he did this. LOL

Blake Patrick Ryan was born at 2:46 this afternoon! He slept the whole time we were there so we didn't get to hold him but we did a lot of admiring! :)

Mackinley wanted to give him a kiss!! He just studied him, I think he's going to be a super big brother!!

Mackinley entertained us with some dancing on a chair while he said "Shake Shake Shake!!"

The long empty corridors were very exciting for a 2 year old with endless energy to run.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but they were both stomping their feet like Godzilla.

On the way home we got some treats from Sonic! MJ loved his strawberry shake!

Night With Korie

Last night I went to have my hair cut. I didn't get any pictures (this one we took with Korie's camera) because I left my memory card at home in my laptop! But here's a fun picture of Korie sitting at her station at the salon. She does such an awesome job!!! After my hair, we went and had dinner at Marco's and it was fabulous.

Blake Patrick Ryan

Here's the newest addition to the Ryan/Baker families!!! All I know right now is his name is Blake Patrick Ryan and he was born sometime this afternoon, weighing in at 8 pounds. I will have more details later! Welcome to the family, little Blake!!!

Just in case you're confused...this is not our baby....this is our newest nephew!! His parents are Dan & Amanda, Jason's sister and her husband. He's the youngest of 3 boys, he has 2 older brothers, Owen who is 4 and Chase who is 2. Yes...all of our children are the exact same ages and no it was not planned that way!! :)

Thank God for His blessings!!!!!!

Our Weekend

The weather was perfect Sunday so we spent a lot of time outside.

Both kids LOVE feeling the baby. There's at least one little hand on my belly at all times!

Memorial Day

Jason made a delicious dinner of kabobs, shrimp wrapped in bacon and stuffed with pepperjack cheese, pasta salad and a lime avocado salad.

My brother, Kelly, gave us this fire pit for Christmas and we used it for the first time! It's awesome!

36 Weeks

I thought it would be fun to see how much I've grown! And of course Mackinley had to show off his baby belly, too. :) I love the look on his face!
