Uncle Kelly

Our kids love their Uncle Kelly. No...I mean L-O-V-E, LOVE him!!! He stopped by the other day and was waiting for us in the driveway when we pulled in. Mackinley saw him from down the street and immediately was screaming "KELLY! KELLY! KELLY!" from the backseat. And Piper ALWAYS lets Kelly hold her...not just for a minute, but for loooong periods of time! Longer than she even lets ME hold her!!! And if you know Piper, you know this is a BIG deal. I'm so glad my kids see the same special things in their Uncle Kelly that I do. :)

Mackinley - "Papoo has green eyes."

Tarzan?

Jason put Mackinley up in the tree one day. At first he was scared and wanted down...then he wanted back up and now he asks every time we go outside. Anyway, he started picking the bark so I said "Don't pick the bark, that's the tree's skin! How would you like it if I picked your skin off?" After thinking for a minute he replied, "That's ok, Papoo will just put it back on."

First Day of School!!

Today is Kaeleigh's first day of Kindergarten!!! It's so hard to believe she's already all grown up enough to be going to school! How do kids grow so darn fast?!?! She has been SO EXCITED to start school and she told me yesterday she can't wait to learn to read so she can read to Mackinley and Piper. :) We're so proud of our little Sweet Pea!!

Korie & Chris

Korie & Chris had a family get-together to celebrate their recent engagement. I of course am a failure as a sister and did not get any pictures of the two of them together! I assure you they were both there. :) It was REALLY hot so our kids wanted to be in the pool.

Mackinley started out not wanting to leave the steps but by the time we went home, he was walking along the wall and getting brave!

The party was held at Chris' parents house in Marion and it was BEAUTIFUL!! Congrats again, Korie & Chris!! We love you!

On the way home, Mackinley would put his leg on Piper and she would pinch him and they both would laugh and laugh and laugh. It was so funny! :)

Jason's Uncle Clay brought some over for us to try and we are HOOKED.

A Little More Family Camp

The kids and I went back to Family Camp and stayed Friday night & Saturday. We had a great time, even though Piper decided at 3:30 a.m. that camping wasn't her "thing". Here she is showing off her new necklace and purse from Kamma.

The Pitter-Patter of Little Feet

Piper has decided that she's done with crawling. I think I saw her crawl one time today, the rest of the day she was on her feet walking, even almost running a few times! Very bittersweet.

Joel & Sandra

A forever-friend of our family (he's pretty much family in other words!), Joel Cash, got married.

He sang "I Wanna Grow Old With You" from "The Wedding Singer" to Sandra, A Capella. It was quite possibly the sweetest thing I have ever seen or heard.
